1. Standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C. Our internal accessibility checklist covers all Level A and Level AA success criteria across perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content.
2. How we test
- Automated audits with axe-core and Lighthouse on every production deploy.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation on all templates each quarter.
- Screen-reader spot checks with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and NVDA (Windows).
- Color-contrast verification of every text and interactive element against WCAG AA thresholds.
3. Accessibility features on this site
- Semantic HTML with landmark regions and heading hierarchy.
- Skip-to-content link on every page.
- Visible focus outlines that meet 3:1 contrast.
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images.
- Prefers-reduced-motion respected for animations.
- Responsive layouts down to 320px viewport width.
4. Known limitations
A small number of legacy comparison tables were originally built without a screen-reader-friendly caption. We are rewriting them and expect them to be fully compliant by December 2026. If you encounter a specific issue, please report it using the email below and we will prioritise it.
5. Report an accessibility issue
If any part of lifelinefreeiphone.com is difficult to use with your assistive technology, please email contact@lifelinefreeiphone.com. Include the URL, your browser or screen reader, and a short description of what happened.
We acknowledge every report within two business days and aim to fix Level A and AA issues within 30 days.
6. Alternative formats
On request we can provide any article as plain-text email or as a large-print PDF at no charge. Email the address above and tell us which guide you need and the format that works for you.
Contact our editorial and compliance desk. We respond to every policy inquiry within two business days.
